Yes and No TAG questions

The use of "yes" tag questions can be used to build rapport. A yes tag question is one where the other person / people will either say yes verbally or yes in their mind to the question you ask.

For example - it is a nice day today isn't it? It was a busy day yesterday wasn't it? That was a great lunch wasn't it?

As long as the answer is yes it has the effect of creating energy, building rapport and connecting,

THE USE OF "NO" TAG questions. These can be used to close sales, help people make up their minds and move things forward. For example "Is there anything else you need to know before we go ahead?" If they are ready to go ahead this creates the answer no in their head and then you can both go ahead. Strangely people prefer to say no to someone than yes

These questions are not to be used as manipulation - as manipulation doesn't work. They should be used to help people get over procrastination - and for rapport.
